What's Colon Cancer?

Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer affects the cells of the last part of the digestive system.  With close to 700,000 deaths worldwide per year, colon cancer is the fifth most common form of cancer in the United States.  With Western medicine, this type of cancer is most often treated with surgery, chemotherapy, or both.

Before we move further into this discussion, lets get a basic understanding about what cancer is.  Cancer is the umbrella name given to problems that arise in the body causing a malfunction within the DNA of the cell.  Because of this malfunction, cells display uncontrolled growth.  Though discussed as lung cancer, breast cancer, colon cancer, and many other names, the illness doesn't actually affect the organ but is affecting the cells of that organ.

Most cancers form a tumor, a mass or growth of cells, but some like leukemia, do not.  Simply, there are two different types of cancer tumors:  benign (not life-threatening and will usually not spread) and malignant (life-threatening and will usually get worse or spread).

Cancer in the colon usually first starts out by the formation of mushroom-shaped growths or polyps that are benign.  When the cells of the intestine become further damaged and their metabolism is altered, that is the beginning of cancer.  These cells will start to split at a rapid pace and take up more space and become tumors that may become quite painful.

Western medicine’s attitude towards colon cancer is, that if the tumors are not cut out, they will continue to grow.  This mindset is to heal cancer by treating it as a foreign invader, coming into the body to destroy and take over.  Because cancer is a part of our body gone amiss, this way of thinking has not, nor will it ever be, very successful.

Operations, chemotherapy, radiation or other intrusive treatments are just about addressing the symptom not the real cause of the problem.  To further explain, let me share with you an analogy:  Imagine yourself driving down the road when you start to hear a knocking noise coming from your automobile’s engine.  Understanding that this is not a normal condition you pull into the first garage you can find.  You explain the problem to the mechanic and he sets off to fix the issue by insulating the engine block.  When he is finished you can no longer hear any knocking, so the problem must be fixed right?  Preposterous!

You and I both know that just because you can no longer hear your engine knocking, does not mean the problem went away.  What will happen a hundred or thousand miles down the road?  Probably the death of your automobile.  How many stories have you heard about people curing their cancer just to have it show back up in a few years?

Healing cancer can only occur by accepting the fact that the cancer cells are a part of our body.  They have flourished and arose due to issues that need to be addressed, not treated like a disease.  Is it possible to eliminate cancer cells without also killing healthy cells? Yes!!!  Is it possible to be healthy once again?  Yes!!!

Although you probably are not likely to hear much about alternative cancer treatments from your doctor, a variety of highly successful natural cancer treatments do exist.  Why doesn’t your doctor tell you about these treatments?   This isn't necessarily because your doctor is anti-alternative medicine, or part of some health care conspiracy; it's more likely that your doctor just isn't well versed in the options available to you.  Sadly, almost all of our modern day doctors’ are severely lacking in this area of education.
